While deleting a file, Windows 11/10 shows various details ѕυch as file name, file typе, file location, etc., when it asks you Are you sure you want to permanently delete this file.  However, if you want to get more information or show full file details in the delete confirmation dialog in Windows 11/10, then you need to change a Registry setting.

It is quite easy to enable or disable the delete confirmation box or dialog from the Properties menu of Recycle Bin in Windows 11/10. If you turn on the Delete confirmation box, you will see some details about the file that you are trying to delete. For example, if you are removing an image, you can see the image name, file/item type, dimension, size, original location, etc.

It is recommended to create a System Restore point and backup Registry files before going forward.

1. Press Win+R to open the Run prompt.
2. Type regedit in the Run prompt and hit the Enter
3. Click Yes button in UAC prompt.
4. Navigate to AllFilesystemObjects in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.
5. Right-click on AllFilesystemObjects.
6. Select New > String Value.
7. Name it as FileOperationPrompt.
8. Double-click on FileOperationPrompt.
9. Set the Value data as required.
10. Click the OK button to save the change and close the Registry Editor.
