How to install Chrome extensions on Microsoft Edge browser

In this post, we will sеe how to get extensiоns from the Chrome Web Store on the new Microsoft Edge browser powered by the Chromium engine. It is worth noting that this tutorial will only work for the new Microsoft Edge browser only and not the legacy one in Windows 10.

Install Chrome extensions on Edge browser

You can install Chrome extensions on Edge via Edge settings or by visiting the Chrome Web Store.

By visiting the Chrome Web Store

To install and use a Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store on Microsoft Edge browser, follow these steps:

1. Launch Edge browser
2. Open the Chrome Web Store
3. Search for the Chrome extension that you want to install on Edge
4. You will see You can add extensions from the Chrome Web Store to Microsoft Edge notice at the top
5. Click the Allow extensions from other stores button
6. Finally, click the Add to Chrome button.

Microsoft Edge browser will install the Chrome extension.

First of all, you need to start by downloading the latest build of the new Microsoft Edge browser. Once you have it all set up, you need to open it and open the Chrome Web Store.

Look up for the extension that you need to download and select it. It will take you to the extension’s download page.

You will now see a banner on the top portion of the webpage that says, You can add extensions from the Chrome Web Store to Microsoft Edge.

Select the Allow extensions from other stores button.

Next select Add to Chrome to start downloading the extension.

It will download and install that extension all by itself.

It will open a new page where you can manage your extensions.
