1. Open File Explorer on your computer.
2. Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application.
3. Right-click on chrome.exe > Send to > Desktop.
4. Right-click on the desktop shortcut.
5. Select the Properties option from the context menu.
6. Paste --disable-features=GlobalMediaControls at the end of Target box.
7. Click on the OK button.
8. Double-click on it to open Chrome without the Global Media Control button.

So first, you have to create a desktop shortcut of Google Chrome. If you already have it, don’t follow the first three steps.

Open the File Explorer on your computer and go to the following location-

C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application

C is the drive where Google Chrome is installed. If you have a 32-bit version of Windows 10, open Program Files instead of Program Files (x86).

After that, right-click on chrome.exe, and select Send to > Desktop option. It will create a desktop shortcut of Google Chrome. Now, right-click on the newly created desktop shortcut and select the Properties option from the context menu. Then, paste the following text at the end of the Target box.

The entire text will look something like this-

Click on the OK button to save the change.

Now, double-click on the Google Chrome desktop shortcut. You won’t find the Global Media Control button in your browser.
