A SharePoint library is a location on a site where you can upload, create, update, and collaborate on files with team members. Each library displays a list of files and key information about the files. When you use OneDrive with an account provided by your company or school, it’s called OneDrive for Business.

Error code=0x80070093; Error source=Groove

To remediate this issue, you need to reduce the number of lookup columns in the affected SharePoint Online list, and then try to synchronize the library. Do this until the error is no longer triggered.

To delete a column, do the following:

1. Navigate to the affected SharePoint Online list.
2. Click the LIBRARY tab on the SharePoint ribbon, and then click Library Settings.
3. In the list of columns, click the name of the column that you want to delete.
4. Click Delete at the bottom of the Edit Column page, and then click OK.

Note: Before you delete a column, consider how this might affect the list.

Error code=0x80004005; Error source=Groove

This issue often comes from a damaged client cache, to remediate it, you’ll need to rebuild the local client cache.

Here’s how:

Backup all files you have in sync! If you use the default storage place all files would be in;

C:\Users\%username%\OneDrive for Business

Now stop syncing everything by right clicking on the OneDrive for Business icon in the system tray then clicking stop syncing a folder. Repeat this for all libraries if you have more than one.

Right-click on the Microsoft Office Upload Center icon in the System Tray. Click Settings and then click Clear Cache.

Right-click on the Microsoft Office Upload Center icon in the System Tray and click on Exit.

Next, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to launch the Task Manager and terminate GROOVE.EXE and MSOSYNC.EXE processes if they are running.

Now, press Windows+R to invoke the Run dialog box. Copy and paste the path below into the box and hit Enter:

Rename your OneDrive for Business folder and your SharePoint folder for backup purposes.

Open the Run dialog box again but this time, copy and paste the path below and hit Enter:

At the location, proceed to delete the OfficeFileCache, SPW and WebServiceCache folders. Skip any files that cannot be deleted and not all users will have all these folders.

Restart your PC.

On boot, try to re-sync the library. You’ll get a prompt asking you which URLs you wish to sync.

Pro Tip: The easier way instead of using URLs is to open the site collection you want to get synced and then click the “sync” button in the ribbon. This automatically launches the installed OneDrive client (if you use IE/Edge and if nothing is configured wrong). On a default Windows installation, this is working out of the box.
